I’ve always deeply admired Rembrandt van Rijn and have created two master studies of his works, both depicting the bathing woman. She is believed to be Hendrickje Stoffels, who joined Rembrandt’s household to care for his infant son after the passing of his first wife, Saskia. Over time, Hendrickje and Rembrandt became lovers, though they were never able to marry.
